Cruise the beautiful Dalyan River and experience Dalyan’s mud baths and Kaunos’ ancient tombs on this unforgettable full-day trip from Bodrum. Head for riverside Dalyan by air-conditioned coach and spend much of the day sailing the peaceful Dalyan River. Watch for the rare loggerhead turtles that frequent the area; relax at the protected turtles’ breeding ground, sandy İztuzu Beach; and take a fun-filled dip in Dalyan’s gooey mud baths and sulphur pools. Views of Kaunos' famous Kings’ Tombs — carved into a cliff — and a hearty riverside lunch provide the finishing touches.

What To Expect
Dalyan Nehri
Leave your centrally located Bodrum hotel in the early morning and travel by air-conditioned coach toward the riverside town of Dalyan. After roughly an hour, stop for breakfast (own expense) before setting off again.
After around two more hours, arrive at the Dalyan River, a waterway that weaves through an idyllic conservation area. Board a sightseeing boat and glide along the peaceful channels, passing reed beds that are rich with birds and other wildlife.
As you sail, take photos of the famous Kings’ Tombs of Kaunos. These tombs, carved directly into a cliff face, are believed to have been completed in around the 4th century BC and are musts for your photo album.
Cruise into the Dalyan River delta and look for rare loggerhead turtles as you approach İztuzu Beach (also called Turtle Beach). These endangered turtles visit this protected, 3-mile (4.8km) sandbar every year to lay their eggs in burrows.
At the beach, you can stroll, sunbathe or swim (weather permitting), and then continue your cruise to a riverside restaurant. Here, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch of salads, main dishes, desserts and fruits, with drinks available at your own expense.
Next, cruise to Dalyan’s hot springs and mud baths on the riverbanks. Pull on your swimwear and cake yourself in the sticky mud from from head to toe. Dry off in the sun, shower down and then wade into the warm, sulphur pools. You’ll leave feeling wonderfully tingly and refreshed.
Afterward, relax on your coach ride back to Bodrum. After a stop at a Turkish carpet center and a break for refreshments (own expense), your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

Fantastic trip!! The mud baths, tombs, river, beach, blue crab were all fantastic. But the two guides were what made the day. Particularly Aslan, who went above and beyond from the moment we met him! A must do!
Day trip on the boat from Marmaris

its was a good day trip on the boat. you start from Marmaris around 8.30am & get on the boat & then go next to the coast line of Marmaris & then they stop where you can go into the sea for a Swim as the water is very clean & its bright blue n clear you can see the bottom of the sea, then you gat back on the boat & you get your Lunch served on the boat, after that you get to the Iztuzu Beach where on one side off the beach its sea water & on the other side it the fresh water lake. after spending about two hours hear then you go from hear in a smaller boat through the fresh water lakes to the Mud baths & on the way you will be able to see this Kings Tooms. on the way to Turtles Beach & on the way through the lakes you can see turtles in the water. It was a great day out & we got back to Marmaris around 7.00pm in the evening.

Notre séjour à Bodrum s'est fort bien déroulé et nous avons apprécié toutes les excursions organisées par VIATOR que nous avons retenues en ligne depuis la France.
Elles étaient très bien organisées, le guide dans le bus était à notre écoute et nous encadrait si besoin même durant l'excursion ; sans parler de la beauté des sites visités. (de plus tous les gestes barrières pour le covid étaient respectés) Nous avons séjourné du 5/9 au 13/9/2020 sans aucune craintes.

I enjoyed mud experience but it was man made mud not natural.. the hot spring pool tiny and do

The actual experience was lovely- the mud baths were fun, the lunch was OK and the boat and scenery were stunning.
The transfer time from Bodrum was nearly 4 hours though!!! We were told it would be around 90 mins. My children get very travel sick and 8 hrs of travelling in 1 day is too much in 33° heat.
We also felt that, the unexpected extra stop offs for crab "to attract the turtles" (despite only receiving the crab after we'd left turtle beach where we saw no turtles) and the stop off at a wine cellar (not child friendly after a long day) were simply ways to get us to spend more money.
Having said all that, the trip was very special and I would recommend to anyone staying nearer to Dalyan.
