You have just over an hour then back onto the small boats , they will try to show the turtles that hang around hoping to get scraps of food.
You then travel up the river through the reed beds stopping off to take pictures of the ruins in the hills.
Then carry on to the mud baths where you have just over an hour to cover yourself in mud then wash off and dry off before back onto the small boats that take you back to the large boat for the 2hr plus trip back to Marmaris.
Its a full day out that cost us £25 each , good value for money.
We too we’re told that we would see turtles - indeed we did see one but it was much too crowded and commercialised for much turtle activity. The mud baths turned out to be cover yourself in mud from the bottom of a pool, wash it off and try and clamber into a thermal bath all within 40 minutes.
We’re we pleased we went - I guess so because mud baths in Turkey is a thing to do.
